Abstract

The primary goal of the research was to determine and confirm the difference between volleyball players of the Kosovo Super League A for women and volleyball players of the Kosovo Super League B for women in some morphological characteristics, basic motor skills and specific motor skills. The sample included 40 senior volleyball players of the Kosovo Super League A: VC. “Fervollej” – Ferizaj, VC. “Drita” – Gjilan, and VC. “Kastrioti” – Ferizaj as well as 40 senior volleyball players of the Kosovo Super League B: VC. “Gjinoci” – Therandë, VC. “Klina” – Klinë, and VC. “Suti Sport” – Pejë. 10 (ten) morphological or anthropometric variables, 12 (twelve) variables of basic motor skills and 4 (four) variables of specific motor skills were selected. The results obtained show that between the volleyball players of the Super League A and the Super League B of Kosovo, statistically significant differences in anthropometric variables were obtained in Body Height, Body Weight, Chest Circumference, Arm Length and Leg Length, in the basic motor skills that aimed to measure running speed, measuring explosive strength-jump type, measuring explosive strength-throw type, and measuring agility and specific motor skills that aimed to measure precision, the results were in favor of the volleyball players of the Super League A. Considering the specifics of volleyball, it is logical that some morphological characteristics, basic motor skills and specific motor skills have a significant impact on success in the game.
