Abstract
Pure caffeine is dissolved in various solvents such as: water, ethyl alcohol, acetone, chloroform, ethyl acetate, at a temperature of 25oC, and prepared solutions of the same concentrations, after which we proceeded to measure the absorption of UV rays with different wavelengths:190,200,210,220,230,240, 250, 260, 270, 280, 290, 300 nm. We found that some solvents affect the absorption of UV rays.
