Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe some morphological and motoric indicators of students aged 11 years (+ 6 months) from rural and urban areas of a region of Kosovo. Altogether, 77 subjects were dealt with, of which 37 boys and 40 girls. Out of 37 boys, 19 of them are from urban areas and 18 out of rural areas.Out of 40 girls, 20 of them are from urban areas and 20 from rural areas. In the subjects, 3 anthropometric measurements, 8 motor tests and 1 test for measuring the functional capabilities of the EUROFIT test battery were performed. With the help of the T-test, the difference between the students of the areas mentioned was verified. Of the total of 12 tests performed in males, statistical differences in 8 tests were verified while in the girls in 6 tests.Of these, 12 male tests proved that urban areas students showed better results in coordination, repeated strength, and agility tests, while rural students showed better results in anthropometric measurements, static force and in balance.Differences in females showed that students from urban areas had a better results in hand coordination, repeating strength, static strength and agility, while rural area girls showed better results in hand dynamometers and on balance.
