Abstract

Civic kulture is a sign of the city - a unique collection of exclusivity, resources, abilities and tools that make the city special and different from any other city. It is the key to improving the quality of life of citizens. The aim of this research is to determine concretly the cultural life in the city of Tetovo and, by evaluating the current situation, to help in the process of creating a strategy for cultural development in this city. Defining the concept of political culture, research and survey of the existing situation of cultural life in the city of Tetovo, identification and selection of parameters for cultural development are important as well in creating a strategy that will contribute to improving the cultural life between communities which live in this city. Regarding the main methodology of the following activities: investigation and analysis of cultural life in Tetovo is mainly based on functional analysis,which includes field researches and quantitative and qualitative analysis of the results too. The obtained results from this research will serve to build a strategy for cultural development and a better life among citizens in the city of Tetovo, regardless their ethnicity and religion affilation. Right in the end we can conclude that the city of Tetovo has potential for cultural development and culture is an important segment of social regulation and life quality improving where cultural diversitydominates. When people of different cultures meet and become addicted to each other, their mutual understanding is extremly important. If this does not hapen then it leads to discrimination, pressure and conflicts.
