Abstract

In the novel „The Pyramid“, the author captures the process of building the Cheops pyramid, and reveals data from the history of the construction of the pyramids in Egypt. In the paper, we will refer to the definition of fear, and we will also talk about power, because Kadare writes „the pyramid is the pillar that keeps power upright“ and „if it gives way, everything will collapse“ (Kadare, 2014: 14). We will dwell on the space, the sociofugal space (or the space that rejects) and the sociopetal space (or the space that brings people together and encourages interaction between them).
