Abstract
Jeronim de Rada remains one of the central figures of the Albanian National Renaissance, skillfully intertwining written literature with the rich Albanian folkloric tradition. His work, The Songs of Milosao, is one of the masterpieces that embodies this connection, promoting national identity by integrating elements of Albanian cultural heritage. De Rada reflects not only his love for Arbëresh folklore but also his patriotic sentiment, harmonizing folkloric elements with mythological interjections. This paper examines the composition, main themes and motifs, the influence of popular literature, and the mythological elements in his work.
