Abstract

The preservation of the linguistic expression of the language, of its specifics, of its identity is of special importance in the modern world. But, in the era of globalization it’s really difficult to accomplish that. In the last decade, the data on the expansion of English (as a language of globalization) in the areas affected by world communication: economy, science, informatics, diplomacy, politics, which contributes to its unstoppable entrance into spoken and written form as Macedonian, is worrying.as well as in the Albanian language. It is well known that we can’t stay immune to this tendencies, the entry of foreign words that denote new objects, concepts and phenomena is not disputed, but still one should be careful about the way of their adaptation, because the uncritical and fast acceptance of foreign terms disturbs the specificity, the beauty of a language. In our paper, we will focus on the analysis of the current state of the Macedonian and Albanian languages, in order to point out the impact of the globalization on their language systems.
