Abstract
As a scientific discipline, dialectology is a relatively young science. It was formed during the 19th century and is associated with the emergence of the Young Grammar School in Linguistics. With the development of Slavism in the second half of the 19th century there was an interest in Macedonian dialects. The Macedonian dialect system as peripheral to other Slavic dialects was particularly interesting to scholars. The purpose of this paper is to present Macedonian dialects as a national, cultural and literary linguistic wealth. Through the methods of analysis and synthesis, the method of comparison, the inductive and deductive method, the method of classification and the descriptive method we do research on linguistics and its subdisciplinary dialectology, and the emphasis on the Macedonian dialectology through for the major studies, scholars and linguistic values of this discipline to emphasize the value of dialectology in language science more clearly.
