Abstract

The study we have prepared is entitled “Mention in some sources of the Yllyrian-Arbëresh and their Illyrian-Arbëresh language”. This means that over the centuries we have identified some moments that have mentioned the parents of today’s Albanians, Illyrian-Arbëresh and the language spoken by them, Illyrian-Arbëresh, and of course all this has been valid for the region of today’s Vushtrri. Also, we have tried to prove that the “warning” made by academician Mark Krasniqi about the possibility of the existence of Albanian documents, respectively Illyrian-Arberian, from the 5th century, have nothing to do with the language, the culture of Illyrian-Arberian, but with another Asian people. This does not mean that there are no Albanian documents, respectively Illyrian-Arberian written from the 5th century, however, those that have been “warned”, as we just mentioned, do not have to do with the Illyrian-Arberians of the Ballkans.
